Anaheim Plaza

Ate Thai food again and shopped at the Forever 21 in Anaheim Plaza. Bought a cute dress that Mimi says looks good on me, so that was pretty successful. Michael Jackson died yesterday. I just wanted to note that in case I go back and read my blog in 20 years.

Chillaxing

I'm drinking iced mocha from 7-11 right now. Who in the world knew it could be so damn delicious! And I'm watching America's Got Talent at the same time. I used to hate this show, but with Nick Cannon as the host, I love it! I especially love the Rockin' Rory act and the guy that sang the love song for David Hasselhoff. "We can do CPR in the back of your car." Genius. Right now is the couple that needs to get a room. Dude, what is wrong with people nowadays, especially ugly people who won't keep their hands off each other? Have you guys ever wondered how it's possible that two ugly people find each other attractive? I mean, I understand if one ugly person is attracted to another ugly person, but what's the chance that that other ugly person feels the same attraction? How is it possible that two people can have low standards? Love acts in very strange ways.

- Yesterday
I was on the phone with Mike and we were both falling asleep when a guy named Scott from PacSun called me at 3:15 to come in for an interview at 4:00. Usually I take an hour to an hour and a half to get ready, so I was freaking out because I hadn't even brushed my teeth yet. I jumped up from bed, showered, did my makeup, straightened my hair, put on clothes and body spray, and went from my house to the Block in 45 minutes. Got there at exactly 4:00 and set a new record in the category of How Long Cindy Takes To Get Ready. Interview was okay; I did better than I thought I would but I wasn't amazing. Liz was there for the interview too, so I talked to her for a bit before taking her home. I planned to bum it for the rest of the day when I got home, but Amy came over, so we ate my mom's Korean Bbq before going to Boba House, where we played Naked PhotoHunt like the horny losers that we are. Dropped by the library to check out books for AP Lit summer reading and Cosmopolitan for me to learn some new sex tricks, then went back to my house, where I finally got around to reorganizing my closet. I used to think my mom was silly when she would complain that my sister and I had too many clothes, but after yesterday, I realized that she was right. I felt so guilty thinking of how much money we made my mom spend on us when I was taking down all the Abercrombie and Hollister clothes we never wear anymore to store away. I felt even more guilty when I was trying to put the few pairs of jeans that we do wear now on the stacks of jeans that we never wear anymore, and the stacks of unworn jeans were so high that I couldn't even reach them even when I was jumping on tiptoes. Oh well, nothing I can do about that. Amy helped me color-coordinate my tops and dresses, and yay, everything looks so nice now! She should be a maid and actually be paid for her work, considering that she's helped me and Kelly clean our rooms for free. The rest of the night, she played Blockles while I watched Hancock. A pretty relaxing day; I felt really accomplished for having finally reorganized all my clothes because I used to get so frustrated trying to find clothes whenever I needed to go homewhere.

- Today
Didn't do much besides go to my sister's Student League bonfire at Huntington Beach. It was pretty boring at first because the people there aren't exactly party animals, but some of the girls got together and started talking about random stuff, so it became pretty chill towards the end of the night. I actually enjoyed it because the weather was just right, I was all bundled up in my jeans and fur-hooded jacket, and it was really calming to be at the beach post-sunset. I left kind of early though because I got really hungry; there were no drinks or food left besides Cheetos, and no one brought chocolate for the smores! What the heck! So now I'm sitting here with my new 7-11 addiction, trying to catch up on my blogs and talking to Mike. I find it funny that he was tripping about me going to the bonfire because he thought there would be lots of guys there, but there were actually only four guys there: one of whom was bisexual, one of whom was gay, one of whom was an innocent Korean, and one of whom was a bad guitarist. Come on now, do you really think it's possible for me to misbehave at a Student League bonfire? Even Britney Spears would come off as an angel at these kinds of events.

Happy Father's Day

Omg I missed Cheaters yesterday! I'm so mad at myself. I fell asleep at 11:50, woke up around 2, and called Mike to tell him how sad I was that I missed my favorite show. He didn't really care but I needed someone to express my feelings too. I'm sure you guys don't care either though. So I woke up around 8:30 today since I dozed off so early and was just laying around when my sister burst in at 10 to tell me to shower so that we could go to Ontario Mills with Katie at 11. With only an hour to get ready, I rushed on showering and makeup and hair and clothes, but they didn't even come until like 2! Gosh, I looked all shitty for nothing. We got there and went straight to Panda Express since we were starving. These three black guys sat next to us, and one of them was bragging to his friends about who he had fucked before, which made our meal even better! Some chubby black girl that they knew sat down and talked to them for a while. When she got up and walked away, the guy that talked a lot was like, "She needs a razor or something. She has more hair than I do. That's why I couldn't look at her face. I wouldn't smack her, but I mean, if I was thirsty, I'd hop on that." Dude, so funny! Black people are so interesting! I need to make more black friends; I could listen to them talk all day. We spent like almost two hours in Forever 21, and I ended up getting only two dresses. I need to go back there again; I never realized how cheap everything there is! Darin was so cute on the way back. He kept saying "Oh my godness" in a really gay way and wouldn't listen to us when we told him it's "Oh my goodness." We stopped by Anthony's house, then my mom picked me and my sister up to go to my cousin's house for a little family party. Did the usual there: eat and chill with Kathleen, who's still in love with her teacher. I was drinking water and she goes "Oh. My. Gosh. Guys. He's sooo cute... he looked so fobby the other day, with his purple shirt that had flowers on it." Wtf! How could you go from liking T.I. to liking a fobby Vietnamese teacher!? Finally went home around 10 because I was so damn tired from walking around all day, and when we got into the driveway, Valerie's car was blocking our garage. Hehe, just wanted to mention that since I know how much Amy loves Valerie. Kay, I'm sleepy now. Gotta go tell my dad Happy Father's Day.

Keep Going, Roller Coaster

What'd I tell you? I knew I'd continue on this up and down ride, but as long as the roller coaster's going upward, I'm a happy camper. Mike was supposed to come pick me up around 1 or so today but he lagged... a lot. Like, two and a half hours alot, and that just made me ten times more cranky. At least I got some cleaning done while I was waiting; now I just need to organize my clothes and clean my makeup and hair counter whenever I have time. He finally came at 3:30 and we went to Mile Square Park to have a talk. We walked along a path and went to the duck pond, which surprisingly didn't smell as badly as it usually does. The water is really murky and brownish green I just realized, but the location was still pretty relaxing. Our talk didn't get us anywhere since I was doing all the talking, and I became extremely pissed off when I looked over to see him playing on his phone. I basically lost it at that point, told him that it wasn't going to work unless he changed, stood up and said "Let's go," and started walking off. But for some reason, I was afraid that he would push me into the duck pond, lol! So I had to sneak a look behind me to make sure he wasn't trying to do that; luckily, he's too nice to do such a thing to me. Before he took me home, though, we pulled over to talk again. He told me he was really sorry and he would change, so I decided to give him one last chance. Let's see how it goes. He took me home, I rushed in the house to freshen up, went with my mom to drop off my dad and go eat, and then went to Kindred Hospital in Santa Ana to visit my grandpa. I didn't know his condition up until now and I hadn't visited him since he went into surgery. He looked really different, almost mummy-like. He was breathing really hard and his hand and foot would noticably shake from time to time. Before I entered the room, I had asked my mom if he would get mad when he saw me since he used to accuse me of stealing money from him, but my mom said he would be sleeping. Turns out that he never wakes up since he's in a coma, but I didn't know this since I always thought that people in a coma couldn't breathe on their own. Every time I see elderly people like that, I realize that I'm going to be in their position in the future and I always get so depressed. Kind of selfish, but that's just what I think of. I also think of how my grandma must be feeling and wonder what my grandpa would choose to do if he was alive to decide his fate. We left after about five minutes 'cause I think my mom didn't want us to get sad, or maybe she didn't want to get sad. We went to the Block and did a little bit of shopping, then went to get Wendy's before going home. Didn't really do much of anything else today besides search up my name on urbandictionary.com and leave about fifteen comments on Amy's blog, tehe.

Wrong Fit

For a couple who seems to fit together so well, we sure do have a lot of problems. I hate how I always justify the fact that he doesn't treat me right with "Well, he does drive down from LA to see me every week," and "Well, he's a really nice person, particularly to my sister and friends," and "Well, it could be worst; at least he's not living his '08 lifestyle." The fact of the matter is, little things count, and when we total up all the little things, I am putting so much more into this relationship. I hate that it's difficult for me to break off relations with someone because I've become so accustomed to their schedule. He gets off work around 12 or 1 on weekdays and comes home to talk to me, goes to the gym every other day, plays basketball whenever he's not at the gym, hangs out with his friends every night, gets wasted about five days out of the week, hangs out with me on Saturdays or whenever I really want to see him, and plays for his basketball league every Sunday afternoon. The fact of the matter is, I can't live on his schedule anymore. He can't expect me to try to work my way around his schedule forever, and he especially can't expect me to be available whenever the hell he decides to take time out from his busy life to get in touch with me. I hate that I'm so drawn to him and that I can't stay away for long. Note to self: make sure that the next guy isn't tall, cute, has great sense of style, looks good in a hat, and is the number one pick when it comes to basketball. Sure, he might be referred to as a T.I. lookalike and sure, he might look hot while dunking, but those two factors do not make him the perfect boyfriend. The fact of the matter is, I need more than just physical attraction and talents. I need selflessness, trust, and attentiveness.

Have I ever told you, I really suck at relationships? I just wanted to rant about how I'm feeling right now, but five bucks says I'm going to continue this up and down roller coaster because I allowed myself to become too damn vulnerable. By the way, I can't believe I had to google how to spell roller coaster. Are you sure it's not rollercoster!?

Lakers Parade

Yesterday was very tiring for some reason, so I lagged on my blog. Like always right? I'm tired today also and too much happened yesterday to even think about right now, so I'll come back and blog about it once I have time.

- Today
12 hours of sleep and an extra 2 hours naptime didn't do me any good. School has been so draining that all I want to do nowadays is catch up on some rest. Didn't do much today besides go to Tofu House, which was really close to my house. I wonder why I live near so many restaurants but have never eaten at any of them before. Tofu House was better than I expected, but I still wasn't a big fan. I'm too used to my dad's Korean Bbq and our Vietnamese style of overly sweet or salty food. It was pretty good still, but we went to Wendy's to get a Coffee Toffee Twisted Frosty. Say that one five times quickly. My new favorite treat, yummy!

- Yesterday
Too many things happened in one day to actually talk about in multiple sentences, so here goes one of the best days of my life in a nutshell, or in other words, one very, very long sentence. Went to 2nd period to take my Spanish final, surprisingly got a 91 out of 100, went to say goodbye to Mrs. Bagley, stopped by Mr. Chau's room to wait while his students finished their final, hurried out to Amy's car and chilled in the backseat while Amy drove to L.A., yelled at Mimi to knock on wood when she said "Bet we won't make it past five minutes with Amy driving," saw my life flash before my eyes when Amy proved Mimi wrong and almost killed us two minutes after we got on the freeway, accidentally said the F word in front of Mr. Chau when a white girl randomly flipped us off, screamed when we finally got to our destination and saw a bunch of people heading towards the parade, laughed my ass off when Mr. Chau ran around the car to replace Amy as the driver and said "To other people, it looks like three Asian girls just got carjacked," yelled at Mimi again when she said the word "cholos" really loudly even though the windows were down and there were in fact a bunch of cholos in the cars around us, got called an idiot for asking a little Mexican guy rather than an old white man where the Coliseum was and received in response "It's straight ahead; you should come with us," thought a second later that the Mexican dude actually had some pretty good game and would've scored my number if he hadn't been greasy and wasn't wearing red skinny jeans, walked for the longest time from where we parked to where the parade was, constantly complained about the overwhelmingly bad smell coming from the residential streets, wondered how it was possible that USC was even in the same area, got hit on by a bunch of Mexican guys and immediately regretted wearing a dress around such a place, finally got to the parade and saw more Lakers jerseys there than at an actual Lakers game, also got to the parade and saw more Mexicans there than at Rancho and the Block combined, took pictures and drank a Big Gulp that Mr. Chau bought for us while waiting for the parade to start, saw a fat black man across the street wearing a shirt that read "I'm The Sexiest Fat Nigga On Earth," jumped up on the ramp and leaned over to get a better view of the double-deck buses, was informed by Mr. Chau that an old man had been trying to take pictures under my dress as I was leaning over, smirked because his picture would've been of a girl who was on her period and was wearing a maxi pad, felt disgusted and violated nonetheless, was thankful that Mr. Chau was nice enough to stand behind me so that the pervert wouldn't be able to take those pictures, almost fainted when the first double-deck bus carrying the Lakers players came in sight, spotted Derek Fisher first and blew him a kiss, realized that he hadn't seen it but his wife had, saw Pau Gasol next and thought he looked fine as hell in a cap, screamed at the top of my lungs and yelled out the names of all the recognizable players, saw Luke Walton and super cute Shannon Brown and Jordan Farmar and Lamar Odom and Josh Powell and Sasha Vujacic and Sun Yue and Andrew Bynum, was so distracted by L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa that Kobe Bryant, who was standing right next to him, almost passed by without us noticing, finally spotted Kobe as he was letting out a "Whooooo!" to the crowd and almost died of happiness, lost our minds and started running in an attempt to catch up with the buses, weaved around thousands of people for about a couple blocks before deciding that there was no way we could catch up to the bus that Kobe was on, began the long and sweaty walk back to the car, stood for a while on the freeway overpass because the Laker fans in the cars below were honking like crazy when they saw us fans walking above them, was a tad disappointed not to have seen my second boyfriend Trevor Ariza, was stuck in major traffic on the way back, dropped off Mr. Chau and then got dropped off by Amy, ate macaroni and cheese and freshened up, saw the three of us for a split second on an ABC live coverage video of the parade that was posted on the internet, got picked up by Amy to go to Rancho's graduation at Bolsa Grande High School, almost died of a heat stroke and later of boredom, got sunburned to the point that there was a visible eyebrow tan on my face by the end of the night, and finally went home after a long two hours to immediately knock out on my bed.
