Another Interesting Weekend

I really need to catch up on my blogging and actually keep up with it. I keep blogging in the middle of the week about what happened the last weekend. Let's hope this is the last time I'll have to do that.

- Friday
School was pretty chill since we had shortened classes and an hour long lunch. After school, my sister and I went to the Measles Awareness Carnival since we're in Red Cross and the fact that we just show up means that we save five African kids' lives. It was a gray and cold day, and there weren't that many people there, but it was still pretty fun somehow. I got fake tattoos - a giraffe on the left side of my neck, a Chinese symbol on the right side of my neck, and a Hello Kitty above my right boobie. They were soooo cute, especially the giraffe. I seriously wanna become a Tila Tequila and get a tattoo on my neck, above my boobie, and on my arm now. Afterwards, my cousin called me to join her and about 40 of her classmates at Main Street Pizza to watch the Lakers game, but in actuality, she wanted me to meet her Vietnamese teacher who she talks about 24/7. Her teacher is a die-hard Laker fan! Everytime they made a basket, he would jump up and literally shake his ass and do body rolls. I'm 99.9% sure he's gay, because no way a straight guy can dance like that. He was wearing a purple dress shirt and gold tie too, and he would do the chants like "Let's go Lakers, let's go," "Defense," and the goodbye song as if he was at a real game. So obviously the Lakers won, and I really really REALLY hope that they'll take it all this year.

- Saturday
Mike picked me up around 2 or so and we chilled for a while. He was wearing a Cookie Monster shirt and looked oh so cute. His 9-year-old shirts are starting to grow on me. We got hungry and decided to go get Asian food since he practically takes me out for chicken alfredo every other week. We went to Bolsa, which was a pretty bad decision since he can barely eat any Vietnamese food besides pho. I was craving banh cuon, so we went to Tay Ho and he ended up eating rice since he only liked the orange thing that comes with the banh cuon. We talked about what kind of car he should get, and I liked all his options for a two seater except for the S2K. I just don't like that car for some reason; it's like a wannabe BMW Z3 to me. We got boba from Tapioca Express afterwards and saw that the Cavs were actually losing to the Magic. I really did not expect that to happen, and like everyone else, I wanted to see Lebron vs. Kobe. My sister called and said that she wanted to go shopping, so Mike dropped me off at the Forever 21 in Anaheim Plaza before he went back to L.A. I got this really cute dress there, and I still need to come back for the bag.

- Sunday

Woke up at 8 because my mom wanted to get everything done early so that we could get to my grandma's birthday party in time. We were supposed to get breakfast at 8, go kayaking at 9, and be home by 10, but we didn't even leave the house to go to the restaurant until 10:30. We went to Long Beach to go kayaking and got there around 12. I love that part of Long Beach. When I was young, my dad's friends and my mom's family would have barbecues at that one place called Seal Beach I think, and we would go on boat rides and stuff. I miss that place; definitely gotta have a barbecue there sometime soon. When we got out of the car, we were freezing to death and didn't know how we were gonna be able to kayak. But once we got out on the water, it was actually breezy and felt really nice. I chose my dad as my kayaking partner since I thought he'd do all the work, but he ended up relaxing half the time and making me do most of the work. I'm glad I picked him though; we were able to work together pretty well, so kayaking was easy for us. My mom and sister, on the other hand, were seriously going at it. We'd be 200 feet away from them and hear them yelling at each other because they wouldn't kayak in the same direction. They ended up bumping into the yachts and the docks because my mom would be rowing in one direction and my sister would be rowing in the other. It was freaking hilarious; my dad and I kept laughing at them the whole time. We got home around 2:30 and were supposed to go to my aunt's house at 3, but I was tired and knocked out until 5:30. My cousin had to come over to get me, so I got to my aunt's house and just ate lots of yummy food and chilled with the family. I felt so bad for my grandma afterwards though because she wanted to visit my grandpa in the hospital, but my aunts wouldn't let her since they knew she would try to talk to him, which is dangerous 'cause their germs would infect one another. So she went to bed without him, which was crazy to me because I thought about how they've spent 65 years of their lives sleeping next to each other. Can you imagine sleeping next to someone for more than 20,000 days, and then one day you just don't anymore? That's not even comprehensible for me. I hope my grandma can get through this.
